Our School Policy

Students Please Note: If you have any questions or difficulty regarding the course content, our TREC-approved CORE instructor is available to provide assistance. See our Contact page for information on contacting us.

Grievance Procedures: Please direct any concerns involving our policies, in writing, to: ABSOLUTE CE, Attn: Executive Director, 712 Congress Avenue, Second Floor, Austin, Texas 78701.

Tuition Policy: Unless otherwise noted, the advertised tuition includes all necessary materials to complete the course.

Refund and Cancellation Policy: You have the right to cancel your real estate course registration for a full refund at any time and for any reason prior to course credit acceptance by the Texas Real Estate Commission. If you finish a course and receive credit for it from TREC, it is presumed you were satisfied and no refund would be appropriate.

When is the Latest I Can Complete my CE? TREC considers the deadline for license renewal and completion of continuing education requirements to be the last day of a license holder's expiration month before midnight Central Standard Time. For example, if your license expires 12/31/2021, you must complete all continuing education courses on or before 11:59pm CST 12/31/2021; please note, however, that TREC assesses a $200.00 deferral fee if their records do not show that you have completed your continuing education at the time you submit your renewal application. Payment of the deferral fee (not available for the first renewal of your real estate license) allows you to remain active for an additional 60 days from your expiration date to complete CE requirements. To avoid this $200.00 deferral fee, you should complete your continuing education at least 10-15 days before submitting your renewal application, so that TREC has sufficient time to process and record your continuing education credits. You can also avoid the deferral fee by renewing your license in inactive status. NOTE: Deferrals are NOT available for the first renewal of a real estate license.

Attendance Policy: Our courses are offered via distance delivery for your convenience. You have the flexibility to work when and where you want. Thus, there is no attendance policy as would be required for a school offering a course in a traditional classroom setting.

Identity Verification Requirement: During the online quizzes, case studies, and final exam, you will be asked random questions to verify your identity. This is required by TREC to insure the person who starts the course is the same person who continues and completes the course. If you miss any identity verification question you will be denied further access to your course and will need to contact us at 800-833-1884 to resume.

Time to Complete and Review your Course: After registering for any Qualifying course it is a TREC requirement that you have three months (or 90 days) to complete the course. TREC does not allow more time to complete a Qualifying course. You may start and stop the course an unlimited number of times, but to receive credit the course must be completed within this time period. Some students like to review their courses. You are given an extra 90 days to access your course for reference purposes after you have completed it. This period begins the day you complete the course.

Quizzes, Case Studies, and Final Exam Information: Once a student has registered for and completed a course, that student must then successfully pass any required online quizzes, case studies, and final exam. TREC requires certain scores on each of these, which case be found in the introductory pages of each course.
After you complete all the course lessons and have taken and passed any required online quizzes, case studies, and Final Exam you must complete two final requirements:

  • You must complete TREC's “Course Evaluation Form.”
  • If you are taking Qualifying or SAE courses you are provided instructions on how to print an official copy of the TREC-approved course completion certificate. The student must verify that the completion certificate is correct. It is the student’s responsibility to send the completion certificate for Qualifying courses directly to the Texas Real Estate Commission in order to receive credit towards their SAE (Sales Apprentice Education) hours.

If the student has completed CE courses, AbsoluteCE will send those course credits electronically to TREC at the end of each completed CE course.
If the student is not yet licensed they must follow the Commission’s guidelines (provided at www.trec.texas.gov) for having their prior education and any pre-license Qualifying courses evaluated for credit.
